Changelog #028
April 15, 2023Follow along on Twitter for detailed updates and improvements made to Banana.
Build Time Health Checks
This is another big UX improvement for our beloved customers. Buildtime health checks will take a built docker image, and before pushing it to prod, run it locally and verify that the built image actually starts and returns healthy http responses. Only then does it push that new image to prod. If healthchecks fail, the build is considered failed and prod keeps running the previous, healthy build. Users see healthcheck errors in their build logs.
Turboboot Public Launch & Benchmarks
We announced Turboboot publicly and have encouraged as many Banana customers as we can to onboard to Turboboot. So far, the feedback has been incredibly positive! We added some performance benchmarks into the official announcement, along with a technical writeup that delves into a bit about how we developed Turboboot.

Prod Bug Fixes
We made various bug fixes this week related to disk storage and production that should improve the UX for Banana customers.
